The Dead Spell Book Covers

The goal for this project was to focus on creating a cohesive visual identity across a seven fantasy novel collection, while giving each book a distinct presence. The covers use a consistent layout, typography, and lighting style to establish strong series branding, while colour and symbolic emblems differentiate each installment.

Rather than illustrating scenes or characters, each cover features a embossed sigil representing the central character of its novel. This symbolic approach strengthens the mythology of the series and gives the books an artefact-like quality, as if each volume is part of a preserved magical archive.

By combining minimalism, controlled colour palettes, and consistent hierarchy, the series demonstrates how variation within a structured design system can create both individuality and unity across a complete collection.
